Importing the Demo content

To get started quickly, once you have installed the theme you can install our demo content. This will make your site look exactly the same as the Moon Shop demo site. Using the demo content, you can customize all the pages to your own needs.

To download the demo content, please visit

https://www.onaz.io/wordpress-themes/moon-shop-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/#moondemos

You will find the downloadable demo file link under each demo name with name “Download Demo Data”. Click on that link to download the demo. Check below reference image:

Unzip the file after downloading the demo data file. You will find three files in this folder. Depending on the demo, it can be two files.

To import the main content file, go to

  • WordPress Menu > Tools > Import
  • Install the WordPress Importer
  • Run The Importer plugin
  • Browse moon-shop-demo.xml file

You will find the demo xml file into the download files.

To import theme’s setting option, go to

  • Open the Theme Admin option JSON file by your editor application, for example Notepad +.
  • Copy the entire code in this file.
  • Go to Moon Theme Options > Import/Export
  • Click on “import from file”
  • Paste the code that you have been copied and click “Import”
  • Click “Save changes”.

Attention! Demo content for premium plugins like “Slider Revolution” must be installed separately. Please refer to plugins documentation:

What To Do If Demo Content Import Fails

If the import stalls and fails to respond after a few minutes, or it fails with a simple error message like “Import failed,” You are suffering from PHP configuration limits that are set too low to complete the process. You should contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:

  • max_execution_time 300
  • memory_limit 256M
  • post_max_size 64M
  • upload_max_filesize 64M

You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin found here. And you can also check your PHP error logs to see the exact error being returned.
